RTW Travel Blog Links
This is a simple one folks, these are other sites I like and find helpful for backpackers either planning round the world travel or just interested in great stories dispatched from around the world.
Travel Community Highlights
There are a lot of blogs out there – and so many have fantastic resources. Below are a few of the highlights of blogs that I am currently reading and communities in which I participate. The full master list of around the world and travel blogs is at the bottom – any of these blogs are great starting places for planning any size trip or finding inspiration:
Current 2011 Travel Blogs
These are the travel bloggers I read and follow, among others. They are all currently traveling around the world and sharing their stories and experiences.
- Uncornered Market: Audrey and Scott are producing some of the best long-term travel content in the industry. They’ve been on the road nearly three years with truly amazing photos and stories the whole way.
- Legal Nomads: A good friend I met through the world of travel, Jodi blogs about food and culture on the road.
- On Our Own Path: Bessie and Kyle are a couple living in Myanmar with wonderful stories from off the more traditional travel path.
- Globetrotter Girls: Two very good friends I was lucky enough to meet and travel with for a bit in SEA. Very helpful reviews and a unique voice in the travel community!
- Everything-Everywhere: Gary has been on the road for several years and shares some stories, but really his site is great for the daily travel photos and photos of UNESCO sites around the world.

The standard fare – these are extensive resources with large communities of travelers and bloggers ready to dispense advice:
- BootsnAll: The forums on this site are an amazing source of information to any country and any style of travel – this is my first stop online for a great travel community.
- Lonely Planet: The site itself has a lot of information and backpackers are available on the Thorntree forum for questions.
- Matador: Huge resource and a wealth of information about all aspects of travel from writing to nightlife…and everything in between.

Links Policy
If you have a current blog with engaging content contact me and let’s chat–your site should also be fairly well established (at least six months of posting) and even better if you’ve interacted with me at some point, I like to support brands and sites I know!
It should go without saying that the blog should be related to travel…and preferably backpacking and around the world travel!
