A Little Recap…Ah, Saturday
Another pretty successful week although for the blog, now that I am back home I have really been pushing to expand the blog, add more wide-ranging content, make it more navigable…things like that.
As a part of the new order of things here on A Little Adrift every Thursday is a designated tip/review/or how-to post of some-sort. You’re also guaranteed a travel story on Tuesdays for Twitter’s #Travel Tuesday madness. There’ll be other posts throughout the week, but those are my promises to you as we get a handle on the site!
Next week, on Monday specifically, I have a guest post coming out on Travel Writer’s Exchange, so be sure to stop by that site on Monday and read my pearls of wisdom ;-) And if you’re a blogger, poke around for some great writing tips!
The verdict on kissing the Blarney Stone in Ireland? Although it was a rough start the general majority were just in favor of kissing the stone despite the germs. ;-) If you haven’t weighed in yet, would you Kiss the Blarney Stone?
Highlights from the Travel Community:
- Matt posted a truly excellent piece about buying a Eurail pass in Europe for backpacking around several countries on a budget. I honestly really wondered if it was a good deal in the long-run and his break-down is incredibly thorough and comprehensive on the subject.
- Uncornered Market shared a fantastic volunteer company in Bolivia. I’m pretty wary of volunteer companies acting as middle-men after the Nepal mishap so this company, Inti Wara Yassi, looks amazing for anyone interested in caring for pumas, monkeys, and a variety of birds. (Bonus: Audrey and Dan posted these adorable monkey pics!)
- Bon Voyage to Alex and Mina from Sending Postcards as they start their RTW trip in the States this week.
Happy Halloween to my fellow Americans (and others who know the joy of rotting children’s teeth ;-) This week the blog stays in Ireland for more Irish hospitality!
