A Little Craziness…Out and Safe
A new blog will be up tomorrow but I wanted to get a post up for you guys now to let you know that I am out of the Vipassana Meditation course and safe and sound. The course was INTENSE and I almost didn’t make it through! But I did and will tell you all about it in a couple of days.
Right now I have a real headache on my hands…there has been an issue with my Indian visa because I got it in Phnom Penh, Cambodia and though I paid for six months they gave me three. This would all be well and fine since I am not traveling in India anymore but I have to travel through India for less than a day to catch my flight to Italy next week.
Again…not a big deal except that there is all kinds of BS going on politically in the country and there are road blocks, passport checks and lock-downs as the Maoists try to take over control now that the Prime Minister has resign
ed.
All of this means that I am going to have several days of hustling. To top it all off – the Indian Embassy in Kathmandu is notorious for having a queue that starts at 5:00am because they only take the first 65 people every day. It’s a good thing that I have woken up at 4:00am every day – at least now it wont be so painful to line up outside at that time of the morning!!!
More soon and Happy Mother’s day to all of the mothers reading this and to my own especially!!
Oh! And my blog is featured on a blog carnival of stories and adventures from other travelers – some of these pictures are amazing and are only adding to the list of countries I need to visit!!
